Usage precautions
A red-light cap is not a medical device, but repeated light exposure on the head is not neutral for everyone. This page lists the situations in which prior medical advice is recommended before using a Hairynov cap. It does not replace that advice: if in doubt, the right person to ask is a healthcare professional.
Photosensitivity
If you know that your skin reacts unusually to light exposure (redness, increased sensitivity, a history of light-related skin reaction), talk to a healthcare professional before using the device. We cannot assess your individual situation from this page.
Photosensitising medicines
Some medicines make the skin more sensitive to light, whether natural or artificial. If you are taking a prescription, especially long-term, check with your doctor or pharmacist whether your medicine is one of those that increase this sensitivity, and whether using a red-light cap is compatible with your situation.
Pregnancy
As a precaution, and in the absence of specific data on the use of this type of device during pregnancy, we recommend asking a healthcare professional before any use if you are pregnant.
Epilepsy
If you have epilepsy or are sensitive to light stimulation, ask a healthcare professional before using the device. We have no basis on which to decide for you whether this type of exposure is compatible with your situation.
In all cases
This list is not exhaustive and does not replace a medical consultation. If you have any doubt, for whatever reason, the safest course is to talk to a healthcare professional before using your Hairynov cap. If you feel any discomfort during or after a session, stop using it and seek advice.
